Built in 1924 as the "Sigma Sigma Delta Chi" fraternity, the house has a double facade, with one front facing Hayward Ave and the other Knapp St. The Knapp facade has a "porte-cochere" or covered coach entrance. Iowa House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
